Firestone Walker Violet Underground

(via Untappd Stoutsman)

In 2019, The Wild Beer Co, and Firestone Walker Barrelworks once again pull two continents together or the uniquely imaginative Violet Underground Cross-Atlantic Wild Ale. To create this cuvee, we tapped into native Somerset Wild, a proprietary wild yeast used solely by Wild Beer Co. at their facility in England. Sunrise Raspberries and a youthful batch of Bretta Weisse were aged in French Oak Foeders. This aromatic concoction was then blended with a mystical fermentation of French candied violet petals and Somerset Wild Saison. The resulting potion is bursting with aromas of ripe fresh fruit and hints of botanical spice. All anchored together with an expressive native wild yeast. A quenching acidity and lively carbonation round out the collaboration. Sante!

New Holland Brewing Dragon’s Milk Reserve: Maple Oak – LIMIT 4

(via Untappd Kev_watts)

Dragon’s Milk Reserve: Maple Oak is the first of the Reserve series to receive the double barrel treatment, aging in both Kentucky bourbon barrels and bourbon barrels that previously held Vermont maple syrup. Our signature stout was also brewed with pure maple syrup for the first time ever, providing a delectably sweet complement to notes of roasted malt, vanilla, and oak.

Stone Brewing Stone Notorious P.O.G. Berliner Weisse

(via Untappd Bodhislastwave)

This beer is the culmination of a journey begun on our Stone World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station 10bbl brewhouse. The twists and turns included more than one collaboration beer built on the “tropical weisse” theme. The Notorious P.O.G. was first served up at Hop-Con 4.0, our annual release event for the (in)famous Drew Curtis / Wil Wheaton / Greg Koch Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout. For those unfamiliar with Hawaiian juice lore, P.O.G. stands for Passion, Orange, Guava.

Cigar City Brewing Humidor Series: India Pale Ale

(via Untappd MHay61)

The Humidor Series is a rotating offering of Cigar City Brewing beer aged on Spanish cedar. Spanish cedar has a more subtle effect on beer than more traditional woods like oak. But, we think that once you taste it you’ll agree that cedar deserves a place alongside oak in the brewery’s wood-aging toolbox.
