For the LAST TIME EVER, we’ve received Omnipollo / Buxton Yellow Belly. It’s one of the first and still one of the best Imperial Pastry Stouts in the world.

(via Untappd tjs1403)
The Rainbow Project challenge created by Siren Craft Brew (Wokingham, UK), brings together 14 breweries to make 7 collaborative beers themed on the colours of the rainbow. In 2014, we drew ‘Yellow’ out of the hat and were paired up with the Stockholm based Omnipollo. … So, with all this in mind, for our ‘Yellow’ beer, we made an 11% Peanut Butter and Biscuit Imperial Stout. Except there are no peanuts or biscuits in it, and it is in no way yellow. We then dressed it in the most hateful, cowardly-anonymous costume we know of. This beer, whilst attempting to make a commentary on the current political winds blowing through Europe, is above all, meant to be enjoyed as a celebration of all things new, open minded and progressive.
Style: Stout – Pastry
Hold Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Barrel Aged Narwhal 1234 Cans
(via Untappd imhyatt)
Barrel-Aged Narwhal is our deliciously dark Imperial Stout aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Barrel aging is a strange science; it mellows some characteristics of the original beer while intensifying others. Narwhal’s aggressive roastiness has calmed, but the rich, chocolate-like malt backbone is brought to the fore. Black as midnight, this intense stout is complex with notes of cocoa and espresso balanced with hints of vanilla and toasted coconut from the oak casks. Nearly as rare as it’s nautical namesake, try Barrel-Aged Narwhal while you can because like the creature itself, it will soon dive into the depths and leave nary a trace behind.
Style: Stout – American Imperial / Double
