Our Off Flavor Tasting Classes have been a hit, so we’ve added another one on May 15th, so snag a ticket before they’re all gone!
We’re also working on putting together another Cicerone Study Session, but we’re working some restructuring to make it a better experience for everyone. And we’ve had requests to schedule the classes on days other than Tuesdays . so just know that we value your input and will continue to try to make these classes better.
On Thursday, June 27 we’re offering a Craft Beer 101 course at the Boston Center for Adult Education. So if you or someone you know is interested in an overview about the history of beer, its various styles, and common food pairings, then get on board. The class will also feature food and beer pairings, and will be taught by our resident beer geeks Adam Mackie and Tony Porreca. These two are consummate beer nerds and amazing instructors, and we just got word that the class is half sold out already: six seats are left so grab one before they’re gone!
We are also extremely happy to announce that we managed to raise $4,000 for Boston’s One Fund. Clown Shoes will also be contributing $1,000 to our cause, raising the grand total to about $5,000! We want to thank the following people and companies for their stunning generosity: every single person who donated money in store or online, Clown Shoes Beer, Jack’s Abby Brewing, Burke Distributing & World Class Beverages, Left Hand Brewing, Peak Organic Beer, Craft Brewer’s Guild, Mayflower Brewing Company, Sixpoint Brewery, Ipswich Ale Brewery, Cisco Brewers, Berkley Beer, Green River Ambrosia, and Wormtown Brewery.
As if all that weren’t exciting enough, we’re also currently working on launching some new and very cool Beer Geek membership options in coming weeks and once we have details you’ll find them here.
Stay tuned and have a great weekend, everyone!
